  • Moving at the pace of being with self, together.

A weekend that builds our capacity to enjoy and grow from dancing, with anyone, and at any time!

We’ll practice skills that support our grounding, connection, creativity, and discovery, without needing experienced partners or shared knowledge.

Inspirations from (and foundations that support):

Contact Improvisation · Contact Beyond Contact · Fusion · Microfusion · Movement Research

    Additional influences:

Authentic Movement · Butoh · Contemporary Dance · Qigong · Liberato · Tango · Zouk

*Everyone is welcome to draw from the movements and skills they already carry!

  • Our capacity for partnership is shaped by how our capacity to feel ourselves. We’ll explore movement in ways that support our awareness and choice, and support others in this too!

Throughout the weekend, we’ll move between solo, partnered, and group explorations—each one strengthening the others. Solo practice supports grounding, self-trust, clarity, and availability. Partner practice invites responsiveness, curiosity, and negotiation. Group practice expands awareness to the whole room, to sense and include more of each other, building our ability to be together while being with ourselves.

Imagination and attention are wonderful tools. Imagery can help integrate subtle muscular pathways and relational patterns that aren’t accessible through conscious control alone.

We’ll sometimes echo and momentarily inhabit different dance forms. It is not about learning the forms but to notice what they awaken and how they inform our movement choices.

We’ll welcome what comes to us naturally, and notice it in more awareness and specificity. We’ll discover and create new possibilities at our own pace, at the pace where it lands in the body.

If you’ve danced in my space before, expect that there’ll be some of my favorite explorations as well as wonderful new material, embodied practice guided by voiceover, and an overall atmosphere of permission and fascination.

Come as you are! That’s where we meet.
